I feel like I won some sort of unexpected yet awesome award.  I'd like to thank my flist, and Wordpress, and everyone who clicked that little bit more on September 16 to form the all-important bum crack.

My icon has never seemed more apropos.

So I'm working towards posting my long-ass fic and I haven't posted anything quite this monumental for 6 years so I wanted to know what you young hip youthful types think when it comes to posting formats for long fic, and for fic in general.  Results will probably inform my decision of where/how to post said long-ass fic in the near future.  Uh, and the 'in parts' thing -- I do mean parts of a completed fic all at once, not installments -- so I'm not talking about posting a section a day or anything insane like that.  WHO DOES THAT, ANYWAY?  (*glares at young hip youthful self from 6 years ago*)[Poll #1618432]

Oh, praise the lord, I don't want to do that again for another three years, okay? My Wordpress fic site is up and finished, including the beast that is Omiai (thanks to winterlive's rockstar coding skills!) I've decided not to include works in progress because, really, they're never getting finished and I don't want them taunting me every time I head over there.

Yay! *does happy dance* Now: lunch!

So I finally did the right thing and got me a Wordpress blog, mostly so I could start the monumental task of archiving my fic in one place, and HOLY SHIT. When did I write so much? HOW did I write so much? My little SGA body of work is mostly all I've been keeping in my mental catalogue but I keep discovering more and more old fic -- not just from my two-year stint in the circus of pain that was the Smallville fandom, but in increasingly random places. Dudes, I wrote, like SEVERAL RPS fics of which I have no memory. I wrote NEWSIES fic. And forget Smallville, dear lord. There are entire subgenres of fic in my Smallville work, like an historical WWII AU on a separate page on my old site. Every time I think I'm getting to the halfway point I rediscover something like that.

It's all making me long for the days when I clearly had this thing called "free time". No wonder I hate my life now.
