I don't rec fic very often, though I certainly read a lot of it, but these two I've read today really made me want to shout from the rooftops:

Via pun , a Yuletide rec: Ramona's Law of Reciprocal Actions (Ramona Quimby, Age 17) - if you read the Ramona books, you loved them; that's just the way it is.  Reading this made me desperately long to read the whole series again, nostalgic and delighted and weirdly melancholic about childhood's fleeting nature.  Hits all the important canon points and this Ramona (age 17) is to die for.  Love love love.

What, Like the Back of a Volkswagen? (SGA, McShep) by kho  - Kevin Smith-inspired awesomeness.  The author manages to tell a whole story without telling it at all, and it's delightfully pitch perfect in terms of characterization for John and Rodney both; Keller gets hers in there, too.  Brilliant.  Much love.

siria has written awesome Ronon-sans-pants fic!  I refuse to settle for any stories where Ronon is wearing pants from now on.  (This is mostly okay because unless the author refers specifically to Ronon's pants I can go on pretending that he is pantsless in pretty much every fic.  It's kind of amazing.)

What kind of undies does Ronon wear, anyway?

This makes me want to read an AU where Ronon and John are co-anchors on a morning news show and Ronon actually doesn't wear pants at all and John spends every newscast looking terrified and unhappy until Ronon initiates him into the ways of pantslessness (it's a word, shut up) and from then on every morning on ANN (Atlantis News Network, but you knew that) it's two happy happy news dudes who are totally not wearing pants below that formica table.

Also, Ronon would be the best newscaster ever: "Today, some guys talked about politics.  Boring.  While that story runs, I'm going to eat this entire bagel in 30 seconds."

There's tons o' great fic there! I'm still making my way through it, but all you have to is glance at the author line-up to know it's gonna be good reading.

So I'm off on a church conference for the next week and furthermore meeting up with my childhood pal who now lives in domestic bliss with 2 children and a surgeon hubby (being, of course, a GP herself), and if that weren't enough, yeah. Visiting my grandma.

Of course, to counter all this sweetness and light, I am in need of much slash fic that I can read surreptitiously on the old iBook while the pastors talk about boring un-music-y stuff. iykwim and I just finished the 1st season of SGA, so rec me anything from S1, any rating. I prefer Sheppard/McKay, or pretty much anything with McKay.

I've read very little in the fandom but certain writers (damn you rageprufrock, seperis and scribblinlenore!!!) have sucked me in already, well before I even watched the first episode. So yeah, anything they've written, I've read. I'd be thrilled if you guys could point me towards other fine authors. Smut or non-smut, either way.

(I know svmadelyn has a syndicated feed of SGA recs, too, and I've only just begun picking my way through that.)

I could totally be persuaded to write in this fandom. I already have like 10 sentences floating around in my head, just waiting to spark on a plot bunny. *g* In case you needed a reason to egg me on.

So I find myself in the startlingly unfamiliar position of having a couple of (mostly guilt-free) hours in which to procrastinate.

I feel fannish but am at loose ends as to what to do. So, someone rec me! SV or SPN (but nothing that spoils the latest SPN, as I am sadly behind the times), gen, het, slash... just something good that makes me smile lots.

Or, alternatively, give me a prompt. Yes, I know I should be writing Constellation, but I really don't have the patience to bite into that big cookie right now. Something short and fun and possibly porny.
