It's sort of semi-chilly out today, and grey, which actually is good as it's encouraged me to start attacking the many work items that need to be executed in the next few days. I used to love back-to-school season but it's less fun when you're on the other side and it kind of comes and makes you sad about so much prep work. Anyway... [/whining]

Things that are of the good:

1) I have an AO3 invite. I've just barely started using the site myself but so far I like it! Send me a PM if you want my invite.

2) There is ongoing hilarity in the comments of my latest fic. Oh, fandom (and fen) how I've missed you all. (siria and sheafrotherdon are killing me with the funny, especially.)

3) My massive new fic is into second beta's hands. And my first beta -- oh, how I love her! For she has made me turn my somewhat lazy-ass storytelling into something quite a bit better. \o/

4) My niece (2.5 yrs old) told me a story yesterday, that literally went like this:

Her: "I went poop onna train. And dere was yotsa yotsa trains. So many trains! And I ride onna trains!"

And I said, confused, "And you pooped on them?"

And she was all, "NO. I RIDE ONNA TRAINS."  Like I was the crazy one.

So I'm working towards posting my long-ass fic and I haven't posted anything quite this monumental for 6 years so I wanted to know what you young hip youthful types think when it comes to posting formats for long fic, and for fic in general.  Results will probably inform my decision of where/how to post said long-ass fic in the near future.  Uh, and the 'in parts' thing -- I do mean parts of a completed fic all at once, not installments -- so I'm not talking about posting a section a day or anything insane like that.  WHO DOES THAT, ANYWAY?  (*glares at young hip youthful self from 6 years ago*)[Poll #1618432]

Because I am cheap poor not a paid/plus DW account holder, I have to make a little request -- I'm doing a flist poll over on LJ where I have polling ability and I'd love to hear from those of you who exclusively read me over here on DW.

The poll is here.  Mostly it has to do with where you prefer to read fic, as I gear up to post the fic monster currently in beta; I aim to please, so I want to make this as accessible to as many peeps as possible!
