Fic!

toomuchplor: (omgyaye!)
Well, it's not *new* fic, but I always get excited when I do anything with this universe. You see, Off Like a Shot (the first in the series) was actually my first SV fic and my first fanfic. And Three's a Crowd was kind of the first extended fic I wrote that stuck pretty close to series canon at that point. And now, Up the Yin Yang (formerly known as Three Balls and a Baby) is my first mpreg.

It'll probably also be the last. *prays fervently*

But in all seriousness, I did some fairly major revisions to the end (which was written a bit hastily, if you recall), and now I'm all happy because I feel like the piece is working at last. So hurrah!

Rating: NC17
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Summary: Clark and Lex find a new balancing point. Mpreg.
A/N: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] runpunkrun for urging me to try harder. I have a giant crush on her and would probably jump off a cliff if she asked me to, but I'm even happier to do her bidding when she's so fricking *right* about things. And thanks to all the voting members of the flist, who made me write this thing in the first place. (Play yer cards right, and we just might see that Ethel-centric sequel!)

Up the Yin Yang

I've also updated my fic website (though not with Yin Yang yet), so pop by and see if you missed anything if you like!

Wow, I wonder what I said. *g* Wait, it's all coming back to me, I do remember saying you'd made the reconciliation too easy. I'm glad my comment helped. I can never remember who likes constructive criticism and who doesn't.

Can't wait to read the final version!

I'm definitely on the former list. It usually takes me a while to absorb and integrate, but if I find the criticism fair, it makes me crazy-happy. Because it means people are thinking about what I wrote, beyond, "oh, cute!" or something like that. Thanks again for the help. Hope you enjoy the revision.

Thank you. I followed this while it was a WIP, and now I just reread it all the way through. Even more satisfying. The last line is perfection!

This was absolutely fabulous, it was cute, emotional, action packed and funny in all the right places. I wish there where a sequel, I would love to see domestic Clex and the baby Ethel Mackenzie (please say it isnt so, the name i.e.)

It's certainly on my to-write list! I've already promised I would do it, so I hope it'll happen at some point. Thanks for the feedback!

I really enjoyed rereading this! It's been too long since I read the first verson, so I can't really tell what changes you've made, but I don't remember noticing the solidity/vulnerability metaphors you were using for Clark's internal state the first time I read this, and I thought they were very well done.

That scene where Clark says he'll give Ethel to Lex makes me cry every time!
