Summaries, oh woe...

I have posted almost all my old SGA fic to AO3 throughout the day and I've gotten as far as Straight as a Circle, arguably one of my better-known fics in the fandom.

My original summary for this fic is really bad (most of my summaries are, I admit). I shudder whenever I see it quoted on Delicious -- so I'm asking for help. Does anyone care to pen a little summary for this fic that might be better than the original one? It's too late to change all those Delicious bookmarks but a revised summary might give new readers a better idea of what the fic is really about.

The original summary: John Sheppard wakes up straight. No, really, that's pretty much it. One day, about two months ago, I thought, "John Sheppard is *so gay* that he couldn't be in a 'woke up gay' story. He'd have to wake up straight instead." And that is what happened here.

*facepalm* No, really, that is what I wrote. Sigh.

I would, of course, credit the person who wrote the summary. :D?

Well, the only reason I could see not liking it is if you felt the "John is sooo gay" thing was a bit non pc. Which, it isn't I suppose. I am no expert on whether anyone would actually find that offensive or not.

If that was the issue -- and I don't know if it was -- I suppose you could take that specific part out if you wanted to (I hear you about seeing the random description I write in ten seconds all over Delicious arrrrghhh). But the whole idea of it being sort of a sendoff of all the wake up gay fics is pretty funny in itself, so.... idk?

I honestly LOVE that fic and love the whole idea that he wakes up straight after all those years and... it isn't actually what he wants. SEE!! I still remember the details of that fic after all this time. <333
