This is so long overdue, but here are a few cool things that have happened with regards to secondary fanworks of my stuff in the last month or so:
podcath recorded podfic of my 3rd Rock/Inception crossover! *muppet arms* I love this odd little story, I confess, and I'm glad she liked it enough to record it. It's awesome -- listen and give her due props: In Duty Homeward Shall We Fly
Also in the category of that fic,
rainy_elliot has translated it into Russian, here. Very cool! Obviously I cannot make heads or tails of it as a complete non-Russian speaker/reader, but I can tell you that putting the page through Google translate does make for good times as an English speaker, especially as this particular fic lifts a few lines of dialogue from canon. For example:
- Do not be afraid to be daring, darling, - said Eames and took half a roof with one stone.
and
It is gratifying to see how you deign to praise, Arthur. Thank you.
and
- We have fun with them nicely - with a grim smile, Arthur promised by connecting Eames. - Good night, Mr. Eames.
(I am sure it is 1000000 times better in Russian, btw, but I do think even some of these lines might be better than Nolan's canon.)
Lastly, in the primary fanwork category, we have cookies.
I make cookies for co-worker Christmas gifts, or have done for the past couple of years. I was chatting with
xenakis as I finished up baking some gingerbread for this project in early December and confessed that
stars_collected (who was sharing the decorating work with me in exchange for cookies for her own gifting) and I would have trouble refraining from making all the gingerbread men into tiny Arthur and Eameses. To which she replied, as any responsible fangirl would, DO IT. NOW.
( The result? )
