Since my last post I've been writing and writing and writing. My latest (and definitely not last) Steinway!verse installment is in beta, hurray, and it's as long as that other really long one, i.e. 25,000ish words.
(Incidentally, I put up a sticky post here on DW to keep track of the Steinway!verse bits and pieces, mostly because I was getting tired of copy/pasting links every time I added a part.)
Today (well, technically, starting last night) I wrote another little thing. It's incredibly silly and yet it's the closest to Inception canon that I've come in over 60,000 words of Inception fic. I KNOW RIGHT. Anyway, I want to let it mellow and then I'm going to do a quick-and-dirty home-beta (because the thing isn't worthy of more introspection -- in fact, might not hold up under its weight) before posting it, possibly tonight! IT IS SUPER SILLY AND YET GRITTY AND WEIRD. I CAN'T EVEN. Y'ALL. There will be footnotes. Yes. THAT WILL FIX EVERYTHING.

Fandoms: Inception/3rd Rock from the Sun (I KNOW)
Rating: Teen, for language more than anything.
Length: 4196 words
Pairing: Arthur/Eames
Warnings: None. Well, except that I could have chosen Inception-goes-to-the-doofy-sitcom-place, but in fact I went the other way on that. I know. It surprised me too.
Summary: Arthur had been on this planet for nearly fourteen years now and everyone still insisted on treating him like a child.
Crossover between Inception and 3rd Rock from the Sun. Probably you have to have watched 3rd Rock at least once or twice for this to make sense, but who hasn't? Inception is definitely required viewing, though. Ha.
Read it on AO3 if you like or click the cut-tag to read it here instead. Comments = love and kittens and stuff.
