So, a citrus allergy -- would that extend to citronella? Am I right in thinking that they're completely different?

Also, my [livejournal.com profile] undermistletoe fic is now almost 4000 words. Sweet baby jesus. I'm trying! Glancing over the comm for the past week, I realize that SGA is batting a big giant-ass ZERO for Harlequin week, which is LAME because -- it's *SGA*, for the love! The FANDOM OF CRACK. Hello, let's go, ladies!

(That's my way of saying that I'm feeling the pressure here. Also, [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn says she's out of tender mercies, which scares the bejeezus out of me, okay? *fans self*)

*gets back to work*

It doesn't help that I have this stuff called *actual work* I should probably be doing. Hrm. Stupid actual work.

DONE

9000 words in just over 24 hours, go me! And yes, that's actually *longer* than last year's fic, which means that apparently I should have just tried to write my big bang fic in under 12 hours, because I probably would have finished it then.

I'm going to review quickly now for typos or weird speed-induced inconsistencies, and then I will post. Whoo! Score one for SGA Harlequin Week!

Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Sheppard/McKay, implicit history of Carter/McKay, implied Carter/Sheppard. But really, it's full-on McShep. I swear. *g*
Length: 9000 words.
Spoilers: General Season Four, up to, at the latest, Miller's Crossing (haven't seen This Mortal Coil yet).
Summary: When dot com billionaire Rodney McKay learns that his soon-to-be-ex-wife, the beautiful and brilliant Samantha Carter, has taken up with a new man, he resolves to come between them any way he can. Can Rodney use his manly powers of seduction to lure handsome John Sheppard out of his wife's bed and into his? And, most importantly, who will get custody of the cat in the divorce?

A/N: For [livejournal.com profile] undermistletoe 2007, Harlequin Week. My prompt was "The Rich Man's Vengeful Seduction". Much thanks to my flist for inspiring me to finish! I don't think I lifted directly from anyone's ideas this time, but took little bits of many people's thoughts and went crazy. And thanks to [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn for threatening me with a deadline extension, because nothing makes me work harder than pity.
