Whoo!

I guess I somehow didn't get the first e-mail about this... thank goodness for reminder e-mails. As often happens, I'm puzzled about which stories got nominated and *why*, but overall I'm not a competitionish/awardsy kind of person so I'm mostly excited to read through all the other nominees. Awards are big giant rec lists, yaye!

So my poor puppy has kennel cough... at least, I'm pretty sure that's what it is, based on internet research and the fact that my mother's two dogs have the same symptoms. (My dog spent the weekend there while I was away, and started coughing when he came home last night.)

Does anyone on my all-wise flist know anything about kennel cough? Should I call the vet, or take him in, or just watch him? He seems fine in terms of energy and appetite, just bothered by this dry cough that keeps him from playing or running or (hurray!) barking.
