If you haven't already, get your hineys over to
favoritefangirl and fangirl the hell out of
svmadelyn.
Here's my contribution, and my preamble:
What to do for so wonderful a creature as Madelyn? Well, since (as she observed sweetly), I've given her nothing but belated flailing for her birthday the past few years, I felt like I owed her. A lot. This girl is the queen of organization, of bringing people together, of the whole fannish experience for many of us. Way back in the day, when I posted my very firstest fanfics, she was one of the firstest to comment ever. She said:
Heya! I just read this up on the SSA and wanted you to know I really enjoyed it. You had good description throughout and the story had a great rhythm to it.
Very cute story. :D
Which made me squee and run around lots, because feedback of any kind, let alone sweet positive feedback, was this huge novelty. And she liked it! And I only realized later that I had been visited not by just any Random Angel, but by one of the coolest and most amazing people in the fandom. I felt (and feel) so lucky to have her among my LJ friends.
I said:
I'm very new (as in, started reading it last week) to slash - and it's wonderful, the amount of great feedback I've gotten so far. I feel very hugged.
The fic she commented on was Aria, and it seemed only fitting that I return to it for this celebration of all things Madelyn. So! More than 2 and a half years later, here is another ficlet in the Opera Series.
Hope you like this, sweetie. You deserve all this adulation and more. *mad hugs*
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Rating: R
Summary: The music never stops.
A/N: A sequel to Aria and Recitative, the last in the Opera Series.
Duetto
