Berryann commented with a few screencaps of John wearing a small leather strip around his wrist and John wearing a necklace (from the episode "Broken Ties" IIRC). In both cases it's John Flanigan's own "jewelry" that shows but since it's visible on screen, that makes Sheppard wearing it pretty much canon, right? ;-)
Now, how about a short ficlet revolving around how it comes that Sheppard's bracelets/necklaces emerge suddenly, are there for the one or other odd episode and are gone again later?
Was he visiting the kid's planet and one of the little ones gifted him with this kid-made necklace? ;-) One of the Athosian kids? Anything else?
What is the history/significance of the leather strip (that's hidden beneath the wristband for most of the time) around his wrist that goes far back to his time before Afghanistan (since we also see it on him in "Phantoms")?

Just an idea.
