Wow, I'd just be too easy to brainwash

I'm so suggestible. Seriously, within *seconds* of reading about a character drinking coffee (and *you* try reading pretty much any SGA fic without that somewhere in it, it's hard to find) -- I find myself thinking, "Oooh, coffee!" And, more often than not, I actually *go and make some*.

*headdesk*

Seriously, it's a good thing I don't go for the harder drugs, here.

God, I feel the same way, only about food in fic. It's usually food that I can't get to, either! [livejournal.com profile] minervacat wrote some SG-1 and SGA fics about Waffle House and whenever I read them, I desperately want to be in a Waffle House, with the faded Formica tables, the laminated menus, and the fluorescent lights that make everyone look sallow. I want it to be 1 A.M. and I want to be eating hash browns, eggs, dry toast, and pecan waffles with my friends, at least one of whom will have ordered grits and steak, at the Lexington Waffle House, which is the only eating establishment within walking distance of the Ramada Inn. My family stopped by a Waffle House in Florida over Thanksgiving and it was good, but it didn't feel right - it was daytime, we weren't exhausted, and it was bright and sunny. It didn't have that Waffle House feel from my memories.

Of course, I live on the West Coast, and the nearest Waffle House is in Colorado. :( :( :( :( :(
