Chiming in with some more love for the Katie Brown story -- all the stories here are fun, but that one is *really* interesting, with a consistent and consistently interesting POV I'm positive I haven't read before. I loved it and am not at all sold on the idea of the story being a Mary Sue, even if Katie does end up being somehow instrumental -- or, alternatively, getting ruefully, or even badly, hurt -- in the process of getting John and Rodney together. The way the story is set up, that outcome would not be a betrayal of the characterizations as written so far, IMO.
I particularly love the two intimate encounters between Katie and Rodney -- they are thoroughly believable and even touching. They make both characters seem *so* real. A fascinating and tantalizing story fragment -- thank you for sharing it!
