Oh, I love the Katie Brown story, too - I always like the bystander stories; they reveal as much about the protagonists as they do the bystander. Why do you think you were jossed by Sunday? I actually think it fits in very well w/ the "vibe" between McKay & Katie Brown. He does seem to be less abrasive when he's with her, a bit shy, perhaps, but still awkward. Oh, wait, I guess their conversation wouldn't fit the idea that they've been having sex all along :P I was more thinking about the feel of the relationship between them, rather than the canon statements of how little time they'd actually spent together. But since there's no timeline in your fic, I don't think it'd be difficult to situate it after Sunday...?

I think "Mary-Sue-ism" is a criticism that gets used a little too broadly - I don't think it's a Mary Sue when you have an interesting female character & insights into her perspective. This is the first fic I've seen that has a Katie who's more pragmatic rather than romantic about McKay, and seems like she's using him a bit for her own gratification.

Anyway, just wanted to say it sounds like an interesting story & a cool pov, but I guess it can't be helped if you've lost interest in the main pov character.
